  1. Devices: Press Cable, DVD or AUX to select which device you want to control
  2. Live: Return to watching live TV
  3. Cable Receiver: Access your cable receiver options
  4. Replay: Re-watch the last seven seconds of a recorded program
  5. Record: Start recording live TV instantly
  6. Arrows: Cursors navigate the Guide and menu screens
  7. Plus: Page up or down while in the Guide
  8. A button: Access more options while using the Guide or menu
  9. Guide: See all available programs
  10. Volume: Raise or lower the volume
  11. Mute: Turn the volume completely down
  12. On/Off/Swap: Control the Picture-in-Picture functionality of the digital receiver or TV (not available on all TVs or digital receivers—PiP is not available on Contour®).
  13. Power: Turn the selected device on or off (from #1). Press and hold the power key for three seconds to turn off all programmed devices.
  14. On Demand: One-click access to On Demand programming (On Demand menu button may not work in certain areas). Also access On Demand by going to channel 1.
  15. HD Zoom: Change the aspect ratio if the digital receiver (supports HDTV)
  16. CC: Turn Closed Captioning on or off
  17. Playback: Control the DVR (these keys are also used to control a DVD or VCR)
  18. Info: Display additional information about the program you selected
  19. Select: Choose a highlighted program or menu option
  20. Exit: Return to watching a program when using the Guide or menu
  21. D button: Press D to view personal show recommendations with Contour®
  22. DVR: List See a list of recorded programs
  23. Cox: Access various program and interactive options
  24. Last: Tune to the last channel you watched
  25. Channel Up/Down: Change the channel
  26. Favorite: Cycle through the favorite channels you stored in the cable receiver
  27. Number Pad: Manually select a channel to watch. These keys are also used for programming the remote control.
  28. Light: Turn on back lighting
